There are two steps in the wedding process in order to have a completely legal wedding. You must perform a religious ceremony which is then followed by a civil ceremony.

You will receive two certificates which will be presented at the end of both ceremonies. One certificate will be from the Minister of Religion and the other will be from the Civil Registar. Both of these wedding certificates are valid and legal in both Indonesia and in your home country.

Documents Required For Legal Wedding:

1. Copy of passport of both partners
2. Copy of birth certificate of both partners
3. Copy of ´Absolute Divorce Decree´ if any
4. Copy of death certificate for widow/widower
5. ´Letter of No Impediment´ from your consulate
6. Eight Photographs size 4x6 (both together)
7. Passport copies from two witnesses
